Corticosteroid injections are used to reduce inflammation and relieve pain in selected musculoskeletal conditions. They may be suitable for arthritis pain, bursitis, tendon pain, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel symptoms, ankle pain, plantar fasciitis and other chronic pain conditions after assessment.
