Testicular ultrasound scan (Scrotal ultrasound) is a non-invasive scan of testicles to investigate a range of conditions including pain, swelling, lumps and infertility. Ultrasound is a good imaging tool to exclude testicular cancer, cysts, varicocele or hydrocele.

We recommend that you fast at least 4 hours (ideally 6) prior to this scan – it is possible that some organs are not visible due to overlying bowel gas, which fasting helps to prevent. If your dietary requirements or health prevent you from fasting, please let us know.
