Testicular ultrasound scan (Scrotal ultrasound) is a non-invasive scan of testicles to investigate a range of conditions including pain, swelling, lumps and infertility. Ultrasound is a good imaging tool to exclude testicular cancer, cysts, varicocele or hydrocele.
Indications to choose this scan:
- Pain or swelling in testicles or surrounding area
- Lumps in or around testicles
- Changes to the size of testicles
- Suspected trauma to testicles
- Infertility and developmental abnormalities.
