A Pelvic wellbeing ultrasound scan allows assessment of female pelvic organs including the uterus, cervix, ovaries and tubes.

Indications to choose this scan:

  • Lower abdominal pain
  • Painful and heavy periods
  • Abnormal bleeding, postmenopausal or intermenstrual bleeding
  • Polycystic ovaries
  • Family history of ovarian cancer

Preparation for scan

For pelvic ultrasound examination we recommend you to attend with a full bladder for scan (1 litre fluid 1 hour before scan time).
